My name is Joseph Tito; I am a film and TV director and producer that has lived and worked all over the world. I have always lead a very independent life. I started modeling at 15 which lead me to travel from a very young age. I’m single, I’m gay and now in my late 30’s I’ve realized I’m ready to start a family and plant some roots in Toronto, Canada. I was in a long-term relationship but in the gay world being a father is still relatively new and my partner wasn’t ready for children. I’ve always loved kids and am a proud Guncle (gay uncle) to my brother’s children. One night, lying alone in my hotel room in Dubai, I realized that there is more to life than this. So I decided to look into my options of having a child.
This is my journey through Surrogacy. Not the easiest of journeys, but if it were, I don’t know if I would appreciate it as much as I do. I had no idea where to start, so I decided to document this adventure and share with other people looking to start a family. This is my story; it may not be fun, it may not be the most upbeat, it may be the happiest story, I don’t know yet. I’ll fill you in on the how, why, what, where and when and I’ll be honest about it. I’m learning along the way. From Jet-setter to fatherhood. This is my life.
